Artist:

I am a multi-disciplinary artist working with a range of materials, techniques, and surfaces. I’m currently exploring the theme of connectedness, from the hyper local perspective of the daily walk to my art studio 2 miles away in Oaks Park, through to and beyond something known as the ‘wood wide web’, a complex underground web of roots, fungi and bacteria helping to connect trees and plants to one another. As well as working in my studio, I work on location with clients all over the world.

Illustrator:

I spend many hours working on and improving my drawing skills. I find the practice very enjoyable, mindful, and useful - both as a way of developing ideas during the earlier stages of my artistic practice, and as a skill in its own right. People often hire me to illustrate ‘live’ at conferences and other events.

Consultant:

I’m fascinated by people, what makes us tick, and how we relate to each other. I’ve had an interest in organisational development and learning for years, and I’m also curious about systems, and how people operate within them. People often hire me to help them think through uncertain aspects of their work, and surface truth about how their work makes them think, feel, and act.

Community:

Community matters to me. Between 2016 and 2020 I conducted a four year long weekly hidden art experiment in my neighbourhood. Through workshops and various participative art initiatives, I enjoy using art to bring people together and spark conversations.

I’ve worked extensively in local education delivering art projects to primary school aged children, and during the pandemic I was commissioned by the local council to design a series of six online creative workshops for people of all ages. Earlier in 2022 I designed and project managed Art Lab - a series of three interactive workshops for younger people, sponsored by the London Borough of Sutton,, which combined art techniques with scientific exploration.

As the Project Manager for Arts Network Sutton I coordinated and delivered the borough wide Youth Art show for 2021 and 2022, and in 2020 I established the Arts Network Sutton community Creative Connections project with funds secured from the National Lottery. This project enables us to commission local artists to deliver free and low cost creative experiences for people in the borough. So far we’ve been able to run a series of 12 different sessions, covering a range of creative activities.
